This listing features a vintage concert poster which was originally created in 1967 to promote The Doors at the Fillmore on January 6, 1967. The artwork was done by legendary artist Wes Wilson. His use of the female form is a central theme in many of his images. This Bill Graham poster announced the very first appearance of The Doors at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, California.
This promotional poster is the 44th from the iconic Bill Graham series and is commonly referred to as BG-44. The poster was printed only twice since January of 1967. The original was printed before the concert and measures 14" x 24" in size.
